People & daily life: Daily routine of a superstar
⏰ Present Simple
☕ Everyday activities
🗣️ Daily routines

This A1 ESL lesson teaches the Present Simple and everyday daily-routine vocabulary through the day of a famous footballer, so beginners practise real habits in one clear, motivating context.
What students learn
Students build core routine vocabulary — wake up, have breakfast, have a coffee, take a shower, do exercise, watch a film, go to bed, relax — and the common verb-plus-word collocations (have / do / take / watch / drink). A matching task and a gap-fill about a typical day anchor every phrase.
Grammar focus
The lesson covers the Present Simple in full: positive, negative and question forms across all persons, the third-person spelling rules (-s, -es, -ies) and the key irregular have → has. A grammar table and targeted spelling exercises make the he/she/it changes stick.
How the lesson works
A warm-up photo opens the topic, then vocabulary, a reading about a superstar's routine with true/false and ordering tasks, the grammar block, a speaking activity comparing routines, a quiz and a homework set. Homework includes a Present Simple gap-fill, a listening task and a guided 5–6 sentence "secret friend" writing task with instant feedback throughout.
