People & daily life: Your perfect weekend personality
🔁 Adverbs of frequency
🎉 Weekend activities
✈️ Travel

This A1 ESL lesson teaches adverbs of frequency and weekend-activity vocabulary through a fun "what's your weekend personality" theme, so beginners describe their real habits from the first task.
What students learn
Students build weekend and free-time vocabulary — sleep late, cook dinner, go out, stay at home, meet friends, watch series, exercise, relax, travel, go for a walk — with picture-matching and gap-fill tasks that connect each phrase to a clear image.
Grammar focus
The lesson covers the four core adverbs of frequency — always (100%), usually (90%), sometimes (50%), never (0%) — and where they sit in a sentence. Practice moves from a frequency scale to gap-fills, sentence ordering and personalised sentences about the student's own week.
How the lesson works
A warm-up image grid and a lead-in comparing different weekends open the topic, then vocabulary, the grammar block, freer practice reading emoji personality profiles, a speaking task about the perfect weekend, a test and homework. Homework includes true/false, phrase-to-emoji matching and personalised production, with instant feedback throughout.
