Shopping & health: Yoga with puppies
🧘 Imperative
💪 Body parts
🐶 Healthy habits

This A1 ESL lesson teaches the imperative and body-parts vocabulary through a puppy yoga class, so beginners give and follow simple instructions from the very first task.
What students learn
Students build body vocabulary — arms, legs, feet, shoulders, head, back, neck — along with movement verbs like touch, move, stretch and breathe. Healthy-habit language (relax, calm, strong, sleep, stay up late) rounds out the topic, and picture cards with audio anchor every word.
Grammar focus
The lesson covers the imperative for commands, instructions and advice: positive forms (Stretch your arms. Drink water.) and negatives with don't (Don't stress. Don't sleep late.), plus the key rule that no subject is used. Matching and gap-fill tasks contrast positive and negative forms.
How the lesson works
A warm-up sorting healthy and unhealthy activities opens the topic, followed by a lead-in on puppy yoga, body-parts vocabulary, the grammar block, a listening task, a test and homework. Homework matches problems with advice and includes a text about why yoga is a good habit, with instant feedback throughout.
