We’ve been working on some updates, and they’re live now. This release brings AI chat, a smarter lesson generator and 30 new exercise types. Here’s what’s new and how to use it in your lessons.

Edit your lessons with AI chat
Generating a lesson is only half the job. Usually you want to adjust it: add one more exercise, make a task easier or change the level for a different group. Now you can do that just by asking.
Open any lesson and click Chat with AI. Then tell it what to change, for example:
“Add a grammar section on the Present Perfect with a grammar scheme and two practice exercises”
“Add a Spin the wheel game to the Speaking section”
“Rewrite the matching exercise in Getting Started using words from the reading text”
AI chat makes the changes right in your lesson, and every change can be undone. If you only want to fix one exercise, open the three dots menu next to it and choose Edit with AI.

A smarter lesson generator
The AI lesson generator now creates more accurate lessons with a wider mix of exercises. Before you click Generate, you can also set up two new things.
Cover style. The cover is an AI picture for the lesson card and its first page. Choose the style that fits your lesson: photo, 3D isometric, minimalist, line drawing, watercolor or cartoon.
Listening voice. Each lesson can include an audio clip with comprehension tasks, about 5 minutes long. Pick one standard voice, or choose Pro audio for a dialogue in natural voices.

30 new exercise types
21 real-life documents
Students learn better with materials that look like the real world. Now you can add realistic documents to any lesson: menu, receipt, recipe, timetable, ticket, weather forecast, postcard, email, text messages, note, invitation, social media post, reviews, news article, ad, poster, notice, form, profile, weekly planner and diary entry.
Grammar scheme
Clear grammar explanations your students will actually understand. Structures are colour-coded, with examples and usage notes in one place.
5 games
Fun new formats to make lessons more exciting:
Spin the wheel: students spin and answer the question they land on.
Open the box: each numbered box hides a question or task.
Memory game: find matching pairs of cards.
Anagram: put the letters in the right order to build a word.
Unjumble: put the words in the right order to build a sentence.
3 new practice types
Chat (dialogue practice): students choose the right replies in a conversation.
Fill in the table: complete a table, for example with verb forms.
Sort into columns: drag words into the right category.
Easier exercise editing
All exercise actions now live in one menu under the three dots: edit, edit with AI, copy, add an exercise above or below and reorder.
All of these updates are already available in edio. Open a lesson, try AI chat or add one of the new exercises to your next class.
