How to prepare a lesson
How to choose lesson materials in edio before class — pick from the edio Library or your own materials, and open the lesson structure.
Before starting an online class, choose the material you'll teach from. Enter the virtual classroom, click Choose material, and pick a lesson from the edio Library or from your own materials. Once it's open, you'll see the full lesson structure — chapters, exercises, homework — and you're ready to start.
Choose the material
Enter your virtual class and click Choose material. A window opens with two sources:
edio Library — ready-made ESL lessons and courses. Useful if you teach English and want to save prep time.
My Library — materials created by your school.
The number next to each tab shows how many materials are available there.
Open a specific lesson
Expand a course to see the lessons inside it. Each one shows the grammar and topic tags it covers, so you can tell at a glance whether it fits today's class — for example, Present Simple, Daily routines, Adverbs of frequency.
Click Open next to the lesson you want. This prepares its full structure for your class.
Check the lesson structure
Once the material is selected, you enter the lesson view. Here you can see all the chapters — Warm up, Vocabulary, Grammar, Speaking, Test, Homework, Lesson notes — and scroll through the exercises before your students arrive.
This is a good moment to decide which chapters you'll cover, and where you might want to pin students during the lesson.
What's next
With the material chosen, click Start the lesson when your students are there. You can still switch to another material mid-lesson with Change lesson, so nothing is locked in.
