How to set up your school
Add your school name and photo in edio.ai, set your working hours, and invite teachers so they can access their classes and materials.
Your school profile is what teachers and students see when they sign in. Setting it up takes a couple of minutes, and you can change everything later.
Add your school name and photo
Click your name in the top right corner and select School settings.
Open the General settings tab, enter your school name, and click Save.
Upload a school photo. This step is optional. Accepted formats are .jpeg, .jpg, and .png, up to 1 MB.
Set your school working hours
Working hours tell the calendar when your school is open. In School settings → General settings, click + Add working hours. Hours outside the range you set appear in light grey in the calendar, so it stays clear when lessons are normally scheduled.
Invite your teachers
Skip this step if you teach all lessons yourself. The school owner can also be the only teacher in the school.
There are two ways to invite a teacher, and both open the same form:
School settings → General settings, open the Teachers tab, and click + Invite teachers.
Online lessons → Teaching staff, and click + Add teacher.
Enter the teacher's email address, and they receive an invitation email with sign-in instructions.
Everyone joins edio through an email invitation, including any additional owners or admins you add later. You are the only person who signs up directly.
There are three roles in your school. School owners and admins have nearly the same level of access. Teachers work with the classes they are assigned to, the class materials shared with them, and their analytics, and they do not see school settings or payments.
Teachers also cannot generate lessons until you switch on the AI toggle next to their name. You have access to the generator as the school owner without turning anything on. See How AI credits work for details.
What's next
Add the students who will attend your lessons, then create a class for them.
